Lets try a simple Chaat.....
Papdi Chaat:-
Ingredients for papdi:-
  • Maida-1 cup
  • Cornflour -1tbsp
  • Sooji/semoline-1/2tbsp
  • Salt-as par taste
  • Ajwain-1/4tbsp
  • Oil for maida-1tbsp
Ingredients for filling:-
  • Boiled and crushed potato-1cup
  • Boiled and sprouted black chickpea(chana)-1cup
  • Onion-1cup finely chopped
  • Tomato-1cup finely chopped
  • Raw mango-1cup finely chopped
  • Coriander-1tbsp finely chopped
  • Pomegranate-1/2 cup 
  • Coriander chutney,Tamarind(Imli) chutney, chaat masala, salt, red chilli powder, cumin- as par taste
  • Sev- as required
Method for papdi:-
  • Mix all the ingredients and make the tough dough with warm water.
  • Cover the dough and set aside for approx 30 mins. 
  • Divide the dough into balls. 
  • Add a little oil on the rolling board and roll out a big circle.  Prick with a fork / toothpick all over (to emnsure papdi do not puff while frying). Make impression with a glass or with a circular cutter. You will get about 4-5 circular papdi at one go. 
  • Boil the oil at medium flame.
  • Fry them at medium flame until golden brown in color.
  • Note:-if cornflour is used, papdi will be more crispy and will soak less oil.
Method for Chaat:-
  • Place 7-8 papdi in a plate.
  • Mix potato,chickpea,salt,cumin and red chilli powder.
  • Keep this masala on papdi as required.
  • Put tamarind and coriander chutney.
  • Add onions,tomatoes and pomegranate seeds.
  • Add coriander and chaat masala.
  • Sprinkle sev and serve.

    This is something non-oily,less calorie and light recipe. Try and enjoy.....
     Aloo-Chana Salad(Potato-black chickpea salad):-
    Ingredients:-
    • Black Chickpea(chana)-1 1/2 cup
    • Boiled Potatoes-2 peeled and cubed
    • Onion-1/2 cup chopped
    • Raw Mango-1/4 cup chopped
    • Coriander- 1tbsp finely chopped
    • Mint(Pudina)-2tbsp finely chopped
    • Coconut-1/2 cup grated
    • Pomegranate-2tbsp fresh
    • Cumin(Jeera) Powder-1/2 tbsp
    • Chaat Masala-1/2 tbsp
    • Gren chilli-1 finely chopped
    • Lemon juice-1tbsp
    • Salt and black pepper powder-as per taste
    Method:-
    • Soak chana overnight. Drain and boil with some salt.
    • Strain the remaining liquid.
    • Add all ingredients to it and toss.
    • Serve cold.
    • You can also add coriander-mint chutney to it.

    Lets try something healthy+good for beauty+tasty recipe and it is.....
    Fruit Custard :-
     Ingredients:- 
    •  Milk-1 liter
    • Custard powder-4 tbsp
    • Sugar- 80-90gm
    • Banana-3
    • Apple-1
    • Pomegranate-1
    • Grapes-250 gm
    • Oranges- 3-4
    • Mango-1(as per your choice)
    • Pineapple- 3-4 slices
    • Sapodilla (chiku)-1
    Method:-
    • Add sugar into milk and boil it.
    • Add the custard powder into 1/2 cup of cold milk.
    • As milk boils add the custard powder paste slowly into it. And keep stirring until it thickens.
    • Remove from heat and let it cool.
    • Peel the fruits and chop them, mix well.
    • Add fruits to custard and mix well.
    • Chill for 1-2 hours  and serve.

    Its raining outside , so try some crispy Onion Pakode with sauce or tea.........
    Ingredients:-
    • 2 onions
    • Salt as per your taste
    • 1/2 tbsp-red chilli powder
    • Besan (as you require)
    • Oil -for deep fry
    Method:-
    • Peel the onions and then slice them thinly.
    • Sprinkle a pinch of salt over them and keep them aside ,as onions will leave some water.
    •  Now add chilli powder and besan, mix them well.
    • Add little amount of water to make a batter.
    • Heat oil in a kadhai ,when it starts boiling ,put the flame to medium level.
    • Now drop small portions of batter in the oil and fry until their color become golden brown.
    • Serve hot-hot pakode with sauce or ketchup. You can also try with tea like me....
    Note:-The heat should be kept medium during frying process,unless they will burn out and remain uncooked in the middle.
    This is cup of tea for you........

    Try some Mango shake this time , it is easy to prepare and yummy !!!!!!

    Ingredients:-
    • Ripe mango-2
    • Milk-2 cups
    • Sugar-8-10 tbsp
    • Dry fruits
    Method:-
    • Firstly boil the milk and cool it to room temperature.
    • Peel and cut the mangoes in medium pieces.
    • Crush the pieces in a mixer.
    • Add milk and sugar and again grind it.
    • Add some ice cubes and grind it again to make a chill shake.
    • Your mango shake is ready,you can add dry fruits to it to make it more yummy or you can add a scoop of your favorite ice-cream and this will be Mango shake with ice-cream.

      Today I prepared vegetable pulao in lunch,it was awesome. I want to share it with u all:- It is simple to prepare and liked by all age groups.
    Ingredients:-
    • Rice-2 cups
    • Water-3 1/2 cups
    • Peas- 1/2 cup
    • Capsicum,Carrot,Potato-1 cubed in a bowl
    • Tomato-3 sliced
    • Onion-1 sliced
    • Green chillies-4 sliced
    • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
    • Coriander leaves (as per choice)
    • Garam masala – 1 tsp
    • Cloves(laung),Cardamom(ilaichi),Bay leaves(tejpatta) and Cinnamon(  daalchini)-2 to 3 pieces of each
    • Salt-as per taste
    • Oil-4 tbsp 
    Method :-
    • Wash and soak the rice in water for half an hour.
    • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
    • Add all spices and fry for 2 minutes.
    • Now add onions and chillies , fry till the onions are light brown.
    • Add garlic-ginger paste and fry.
    • Add tomatoes and fry.
    • Add all vegetables and garam masala. Cook for 5-10 minutes.
    • Now add strained rice and salt and mix well.
    • Now add water and close the lid tightly.
    • After first whistle , reduce the flame and cook for 4-5 minutes.
    • Now turn off flame and let it cool. Open lid and add coriander leaves.
    • Your dish is ready , serve it with raita, pickle or as you wish.
